Mother Body of World football (FIFA) have sent SAFA an informal letter regarding Tebogo Mokoena ineligible fielding against Lesotho.  On the 21st march 2025 Bafana Bafana beat Lesotho 2-0 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualify at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Bafana eligible fielded Tebogo Mokoena who was suspended for that game as per FIFA rules. FIFA has informed SAFA that they will conduct investigation regarding the matter,if SAFA found quilty they will face consequences they might docked points and goals on the process and that it will jeopardize the Bafana Bafana of qualifying to FIFA 2026 World Cup.
